November Crown Tournament November 13-15, 2009
Barony of Southron Gaard Waipara Riverside Park, Canterbury, NZ
Bookings are open: Further information and the online booking form accesible here.
Come to Southron Gaard's first Crown Tourney in its 27-year existence and witness True Might and Majesty in a sylvan setting famous as the location for Canterbury Faire. A hearty meal plan, fabulous feast and the Mangy Mongol (fine comestibles by Royal Appointment) will see that you hunger and thirst not.
As well as the excitement and spectacle of watching noble combatants fight for the honour of Crown, there will be a Crown Prince’s Ball, arts and sciences displays, a market, rapier and archery, and divers entertainments both frivolous and formal throughout the event.
November Crown Tourney in Southron Gaard takes advantage of Friday being local public holiday to bring you more fun and pageantry, so reserve November 13-15, 2009 now.
NB Site opens for setup from Thursday 12th 4pm; full activities start from breakfast on Friday. This is an especially good opportunity for those who ordinarily can’t make Canterbury Faire, as the site and many of the additional activities will give you a goodly taste of what you are missing.
How much:
$NZ70 (full event) per adult/child; day visitors $19.50. Other items to budget for: meal plan ($35), feast ($16); shuttle transport to/from site, T-shirts, tent hire (bunks are free for travellers).
For general information about the site, how to get there, and advice for people travelling (especially those from across the Straits of Lochac), see the Site Information links (normally used for Canterbury Faire) to the left.
Bookings are open: Further information and the online booking form accesible here.
