The Barony of Southron Gaard The Kingdom of Lochac

Accommodation Options Before/After the Faire

High demand means that billet space in Southron Gaard is always very limited just before and after Canterbury Faire. Therefore you might want to consider one of these low-cost alternatives in the centre of Christchurch:

YMCA Hereford St
This is across the road from the Christchurch Arts Centre (site of Midwinter Coronation 2007) and about eight minutes walk from Cathedral Square. It offers accommodation ranging from $22/night for the dormitory to $150/night for a 2-bedroom apartment sleeping 4-6 people, or single rooms at $48/night. Bedding and towels are provided in the rooms; the dorms have linen for hire. They require a deposit for the first night or credit card details, balance in full at check-in. Check-in is 2pm, check-out is 10am. Luggage storage facilities available.
