Information sent to Dunedin, there is a group there setting up a college at Otago (probably starting next year). Their officers will be reporting to their Seneschal and to Baronial officers, although will only be responsible to their seneschal. They will be asking Baronial officers for help with setting up. CHATELAINE: I would like to request a reimbursement for photocopying that I have repeatedly forgotten to bring to council. The amount I request is for $60.00 I received a call from a small group on the West Coast who have been having medieval gatherings for a while and are keen in getting involved with us- Received a request for a small demo for the Burnside Scout group during the first week of September- forwarded this onto the B&B. Only small (2 fighters + one other) Somerfield School Faire: October 30. Have invited us to wander around in garb, giving out flyers. Can do any fighting/singer etc. as we please. Wattyl Paints: decorating their stand for Chch conference on Sunday December 18th (conference has medieval theme). Cited fee of $400 (usual fee for commercial appearance) B&B looking into the worth of doing random school/club etc. demos. Suggestion of a policy of no more than 1 demo/month (suggest directing people towards musters). B&B have discretion to turn down demo requests (this is supported by council). UP COMING EVENTS: Waipara working party Sept 10-11: Looking for volunteers (up to $25 people, $4 for night to cover electricity). Casual, non garbed, byo food. Planning fish & chip run, and a banana split thing. Lists to be made for equipment etc. Email BELLE if interested, including list of tools etc you might be able to bring out. Are currently looking at: planting herb garden, digging out old sump at mong shelter, possibly tidying up half circle theatre, etc. BELLE will find out what gardening etc. supplies will be available out there. Elizabethan Event: no further information. Oct muster: approval obtained. GENERAL BUSINESS: Recruiting posters: Vicki still working through photos. Working looking ok. Will be including space at bottom where events can be mentioned etc. Puttering along. FTT deadline: Next FTT will be being put together 28-29 August, if submissions aren't in by then then they won't go in. Container: If B&B get a container for free they have council permission to go ahead (site costs likely to be around $400/year for the space). MEETING CLOSED: 8:10pm
