Received permission from Kingdom and the Financial Committee to fund period pewter spoons as event tokens, to be made by Sebastian and Ceina. Lead-free pewter has been ordered (including 2kg extra requested by Canton members) and should arrive shortly. Requests made for cheque for Feast food purchasing and another to cover cost of pewter. All preparations seem to be in hand at this point, next planning meeting is May 20th where any particular requirements of the incoming Royals will hopefully be at least partly known. Looking for someone to help Matilda with the Sunday picnic. YULE: (Report from Thorald) Have booked the venue, had a little problem at first as they had double booked the parish hall during the day, so we have the Bowden hall (the small one attached to the parish office) during the day for A & S display and for Yule court as we can't get into the parish hall till about 6. Have had 3 bookings so far and have emailed it to the list and advertised it in From The Tower. KESSOG FIRST FEAST: Budget and paperwork received from Eydis regarding Kessog First Feast. Will need volunteers to help man the table, and especially fighters to do a combat display. PRESS ADVERTISEMENT: Have been contacted by The Christchurch Press, who are running a clubs feature later this month. Invited to buy advertising space in the feature. Prices range from $70 to $700 depending on size and colour. Discussion at council generally against this idea.
